I love my family but since I've graduated high school last year it's been a pain in the ass being at home all the time. My annoying cousin comes to visit too often, my dogs are barking all times of the day, people borrow a movie and leave it on the floor, just stupid s**t. I don't know if you all still live at home but maybe you can relate in one way or another. Anyway if I can save up enough money this year I'd really like to move out by mid next year. I'm gonna be 21 then and that seems like a good time to leave. I could probably find a place for less than $700/month. Maybe even find a friend or two to split on a place. I mean there are perks to living at home, the free meals, free room, free internet, a lot of free things, but it's like playing a free-to-play version of life and I need to upgrade to pay-to-play xD

Yeah I hear you. I love my Family; however' everyone I know seems to be out of their parents house. Makes you feel like the one who is way behind everyone else.
The plus side however would be it does save on money. Like you said 700$ per month is a lot when you are a college student with enough financing to worry about.

The grass is always greener on the other side. I'm an only child, I have my own room and space. Parents don't tell me what to do except be quiet at night so they can sleep. I don't have a curfew, they don't expect rent or money for bills. Free food, water, and electricity. With all that I still want to move out. Like FallinN said I feel like I'm falling behind, although most of my friends and cousins are still with their parents. It's more of an internal struggle with myself to "better" myself. My own place isn't going to make me a better person, but the responsibility of having to pay my own bills and feeding myself will make decisions such as buying a PS4 or going to the midnight showing of a 3D IMAX movie that much harder. Depending on how much you want to work and how much you get paid to work might barely be enough to eat Ramen everyday, so you can pump gas to go to a crappy job you hate, just to pay your $700 rent/mortgage. Pros and cons everywhere. I guess you have to decide whats best for you.
